FUMC in The Holy Land…again

FUMC is going to the Holy Land again.  January 18 – 27, 2013.  Rev. Dr. John Harman is the staff sponsor for this trip.  Tina Ripperger is the trip coordinator and group leader. We will have a Christian, English-speaking local guide while we are in the Holy Land.

If you are interested in this trip or know someone who is, please come to the information session on May 20, 2012 at 6 pm room C210 at FUMC McKinney.

We will talk about the planned trip,  answer all your questions, look at pictures from the last trip highlighting the planned site visits for 2013.

We will also take registration deposits of $500 to reserve your place on this wonderful, spiritual pilgrimage. Total cost is $3498 per person (includes tax, does not include trip insurance).  We will discuss more details of what is included and such at the meeting on May 20.

The trip is priced for 30 people (we can take up to 46) and we need 22 people to ensure this trip will take place.

Highlights of what we will see on the trip include: Bethlehem, Caesarea, Mt. Carmel, Megiddo, Jezreel Valley, Nazareth, Mt. Precipice, Cana, See of Galilee (shoreline and sail on a boat), Mt. of Beatitudes, Jericho, Masada, Qumran , Dead Sea, Mt. of Olives, Palm Sunday Walk, Mt Zion, Jerusalem, Garden of Gethsemane, Via Dolorosa, The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Garden Tomb.

We also have an opportunity to share the Heart of Christ from the Heart of McKinney in Bethlehem as we visit with Missionaries Alex and Brenda Awad at the Bethlehem Bible College.

We welcome you and invite you to join us.

Please let me know if you have any questions. (bettina_ripperger@yahoo.com)
